VENKATESHWARA SWAMY TEMPLE

Venkateshwara Swamy Temple in Rangapur (Village), Vangoor (Mandal), Nagar Kurnool (District), Telangana, is constructed around 211 years ago in the year circa 1813. The temple is constructed by Gunna Seetharam Reddy. The main deity, Lord Venkateshwara is worshipped along with his divine concerts Goddess Padmavathy and Goddess Alamelu Manga. One of the distinct features of the main deity i.e., Lord Venkateshwara is the Lord Venkateshwara Idol consists of Mustache.

The total temple complex consists of main sanctum sanctorum for the principal deity along with its divine concerts, Lord Anjaneya in Namaskara mudra, Mandaps, Dwajasthambham and Utsava Mandapam.


The villagers decided to reconstruct the temple as the temple became old and structure became weak. The villagers set up a committee under the guidance of and support of Gunna Sanjeeva Reddy decided to reconstruct the temple using Krishna Shila and performed Balalayam and shifted the deities from sanctum sanctorum in February 2020.

Mr. Gunna Sanjeeva Reddy, The Temple Committee Members, Villagers, Friends, Family Members of the Committee Members donated generously for the reconstruction of the temple and at present the temple construction is going on at brisk pace and expected to be completed in few months.

But due to Covid 19 pandemic the reconstruction got delayed and resulting in huge cost escalation.
In this regard the Temple Committee requests the donors to donate generously for the divine cause and for which act of generosity the villagers, Temple Committee shall be grateful.
